Good evening.  Tomorrow Sharon and I will be going grocery shopping.  Then I work on Thursday, New Years evening and New Years Day.  I will be off on Sunday.  Just wanted to let you know what Darin got me for Christmas.  It is a digital picture frame.  It is only 7"" wide, but it is the largest one of this kind they make so far.  What is neat about this one is that it works with my computer.  Since, I have WiFi at home, I can send my pictures directly from my computer to the picture frame, Darin can send pictures from his cell to the frame, and I can get picture transferred from Facebook to the frame, but, I have not figued that one out yet.  It turns off and on by itself.  Anyway, it is neat.  Gosh, there are some good gagets out there.  Today it was cold, but not  too cold because we have very little wind.   Tomorrow should be warmer, but windier.  Karen

Sharon, Nancy and I had coffee yesterday.  Nancy brought over some blueberry muffins.  Then Sharon and I went to Dillons and OfficeMax, and made a fast stop at Target.  Today is Monday, and it is cold outside, need a jacket to go out, but, at least it is not as windy as yesterday, when we had gust up to 50mph.

Gary is feeling a little bit better. I am taking one day at a time. If I am still having trouble after Thanksgiving I will call the doctor. I want to say Thanks to Sharon for the card we really enjoyed it. Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving. Will write later.

Godd Morning, Yesterday Sharon had a early lunch to go to, so Nancy and I didn't make it over, we will next week.  Marsha, how are you feeling, is your bronchitis better?  Also, how is Gary doing? 
Nancy is busy cleaning and rearranging things in their garage, looks like one of their properties is being sold.
Tim will be starting at Lowes soon, if everything goes OK.  Darin finally got one piece of furniture for his living room, at least he can sit down now.  I work Tuesday and Thursday this week, then the weekend.  Had a real rough Friday night, one of those, everything went wrong nights, hope tomorrow is better.  Have a good day. Just wanted you to know that they changed the delivery date to Nov 24th on the CD.
Also Gary had to have a Brain Scan. The doctor is worried about his headaces and all
the coughing he does. That is about all from florida. Hope everything is OK in hutch.

Just wanted to say Hi. Went to the doctor yesterday. He said that my chest pain and cough
was bronchitis. If the medicine does not work in a week then they will order and chest X-ray
to see if I have pneumonia.Will talk to you soon.

Sharon and I joined Nancy's group playing Bunko last night.  I won second, here is what I won, and really nice brown plush throw, I wish you could all feel it, so plush.  Anyway, we all had a good time and alot of food, got stuffed.

Wednesday morning

Hi, hope you all are doing OK today.  I am off for the next ffew days.  Nancy, make sure you let us all know when your surgery is scheduled for when you hear.  I know it is going to be successful.  Yipee for insurance.
Sharon hope you are still improving.  I think Nancy and me have convinced Sharon to go straight to the Doctor the next time she has an attack.I think this attack came out of the blue to Sharon, and she was almost over it before she realized what was happening to her.  And, Marsha, I hope you and Gary are feeling OK, hope Gary's coughing is easing up, when did you say he has an appointment?  This is my weekend to work, so I won't be here on Halloween.  We only had under 50 kids last year.  I am still learning my new Blackberry phone.  So far I love it, it has a date book on it, so now I no longer have to carry my Palm around with me.  It has a notepad, and I love scrolling down looking at the news from whereever I am.  I like it, but, then I am also paying $25.00 extra a month for all those thrills.  Oh Well, the modern world.

Gary as had a couple of bad days. He has been coughing alot. He has been laying
down alot. I am working on the laundry room and getting rid of a lot of old thing.

Tuesday morning

Just visited with Sharon, she is feeling much, much better today.  She is still trying to figure out if it was a touch of the flu or gall bladder attach.  I believe for sure it was a gall bladder attack, because has rough as she was feeling, I don't believe she could have gotten over the flu that easy.  And she didn't have the other syptoms of the flu.  So hope you get feeling better each day, Sharon.  Dudley and I went to the PotLuck Genealogy meeting last night, small crowd, but good food.  I am off until Thursday and Friday.

Saturday afternoon

Almost blew it today.  Was at Gale's house, and lost track of time.  Before I knew it, the time was 2:30 and I was to be at work by 2:45.  Rushed home, to change, I think I could have made it, but, Dudley said that the hospitlal had called earlier and I better call.  I did, they wanted me to take a ALC, shoot I said yes, YES.
Didn't have to go to work, used a PTO day, so I will get paid for it anyway, not bad.  I won't ever do that again, will take my cell phone with me.

Went to see the doctor and my heart problem is not as bad as they thought. He said that it
can be controlled. So they are just going to keep and eye on it. That made me feel alot better.
He was also happy that I had lost weight. That is about all from here. Write soon

I was off today.  Dudley and Darin went fishing at Cheney.  Darin got a large (over 60 pounds catfish), got a picture with Dudley holding fish, yep, Dudley could not work Darin's cell phone camera, so Darin had to take picture of his Dad holding fish.  Sharon and I went grocery shopping.  I stayed and visited for a while, nothing much else is going on.  I work this weekend, have a lunch meeting at 11:00 am tomorrow for next year's society programs planning.  Then off to work.  Heres a picture of the fish.  And, yes, after the picture taken,  the fish was release alive, hope he can elude the next fisherman.

Gary is doing Ok. But Dr. Marakian want him to talk to Dr. Jeryan about the chest pains.
He had to have a ct scan in January. And a pet scan in 6 months. The weather is very nice,we are starting to cool down some. Well write soon.

Had a very good time. Got to see a lot people that haven't seen in a long time. Got,to see Judy Seimens, Donna Kaiser, and many others. Had a good meal, catered by Bernards. The next day, went to Buhler Flolic's Parades. In the future, we are planning on taking a class trip to somewhere. Here are my souvieniers.

Just wanted to say I really like the note on the blog. That is really true. We got some rain and cooler weather. Gary has been having a stabbing feelling in his chest. It was really bad yesterday but got easy later in the day. He was also having trouble breathing. He will see the doctor on Tuesday and is going to tell him about it. Sunday at Sharons

Nancy, Sharon and I had a good time yesterday.  Sharon previewed her new outfit that she is going to wear to her class reunion this weekend.  Nancy and I helped her pick out the right jewerly to add to the outfit.  It turned out that the new necklace that she bought at Channels party was the perfect one.  Had fun, wished I had remember to take my camera.  Maybe I can get over to Sharons before she goes.  Larry got to come home on Friday.  He is not taking his medicine, or doing what he suppose to do.  He thinks he can drive, but, as of yesterday, he has not driven, thank goodness.  I will most likely have to drive him around today to get some things.  It has finally turned to Fall, with a cold front moving in, I love it.  Hope everything is OK in Florida.  Karen

Just wanted to say Hi. Gary went to the Cancer Doctor and she said that there was no actived in his body. But they will have to kept checking. She said that he was lucky, there is some scar tissue but not bad. I have to call my doctor on Monday after we get home from shopping. No appointment at Doctor offices until Oct . That is great. Good afternoon everyone.  Dudley and I picked up Larry and the Phys. Therapist today and took them out to his apartment.  The PT guy evaulated whether or not he thought Larry was ready to go home.  It looks like less than two weeks from now he might be able to go home.  They have to work with him using a cane, but,for the most part he will use a walker.  Then about 2:15 Dudley and I headed for the Fair.  I made sure that I got to check with the KS insurance dept. and picked up some up to date Medicare info.  But, we only lasted less than 2 hours and came home.  Dudley was sweating and arms to hurt ( I believe its a salt thing), so we came home.  I called Sharon and found out that Nancy, Mrs. Lane and she had just got back from the Fair also, they lasted about the same lenght we did.  It was really hot and muggy.  Not to much fun. 
I don't know, maybe I am just too old to enjoy the Fair.  Karen

Just a note to say Hi. We won't know any about Gary test until the 17th. And test are still being read by Dr. Jeryan. But no news is good news. We feed the wild birds and this morning we had about 30 birds. We have a pair of cardinals and some blue jay & I call them unknown little birds as well as doves. They are fun to watch. Red Hat Trip

We went to Wichita, we played a game of minature golf, I came in last, but, had lots and lots of fun. There was six of us. Afterward, we went to Red Lobster, and I had the best flounder fish dinner, and the best biscuits you can have. Had a overall, great time. Will talk to you later.

Forgot to mention earlier, on Monday night when Sharon & I was at the library, I dropped my eye-glasses in the elevator, and went straight down the shaft to bottom of the hole.  Thankfully, the libraians maintence found them.  Happy me.

Sharon and I went to the library liast night for our genealogical meeting.  I gave the program.  Sharon helped me carry everything in, so happy for her help.  It is misty this morning, hope the sun doesn't come out and it turns to steam.  Hope to get over to Nancy's this week, so we can figure out why she can't get logged on,  the blog would be a nice way for her to fill us in on her days happenings.  Nothing much else new.

Larry got transfered to Minnonite Friendship Manor, in the Graber House, it is a combination Skilled and Rehab unit out there.  He will be out there for, I am guessing 3 weeks or so.  Could not get his shoes on or pants buttoned, still his some swelling.  Seems like he is in good spirit.

Thnaks I got it back. Will start writing everyday. Gary went to red doctor and got the blood test back. His Hemoglobin was high. And his red blood count was a little low so he has to get another

I went to theater to see mid life crisis.I enjoy it very much.I

Today was a bit cooler.  Sharon is hot in her house, but, is going to the senior center and stays a bit cooler there.  Larry is doing just about the same, his right hand swelling is coming down a bit, and feet losing their swelling a bit.  Still on IV's , catherer, and now eats only honey pureed food, he cannot drink anything like water, as he is aspirating some in his lungs all the times. 
Marsah, hope your ECHO went well, can you tell how your breathing test went?  Karen

Hope you can stay indoors most of the time. How is Sharon doing? Tomorrow I have my echo and my breating test done. I won't know the results until the 12th. Stay cool.

It was 107 yesterday in Hutch.  Today is going to much the same.

Weather

OK Marsha you got us beat.  Just checked temps, our temperature is 91 and humidity 58%.  You are now 85 but have humidity of 70%.  Maybe its a close draw, but, 71% sounds pretty wet in the air to me.  Ouch.
Larry's a bit better today, sitting up in chair, can talk a bit, before closing eyes, and no longer has O2 in his nose.   Oh, and thanks for the e-card.  Dudley is out picking the gardens, and I am catching up on paperwork. 

Larry's condidtion

Things are going from bad to worse.  Larry sort of started shuting down mentally on thursday morning.  By Thursday evening we got phone call saying that his bowels had not moved sinced he got to the hospital and he was now complaining of stomach pains, the doctor wanted to do xrays on abd, but Larry refused.  Pam and I went up, they had finally got him to agree to soap enema, he had movements then through yesterday noon.  Yesterday afteroon, he agreed to a Cat Scan, they gave him contrast to swallow and instead he inhaled some in his lungs.  Now they are afaid that pneumonia is going to set in, they are giving him morphine, and antibiotics & IV's.  Pam and I was there this morining, he could not wake up, most likely did not know we where there.  His kidneys might be shutting down, so they inserted a catherer.  Who knows, Sharon and I both think that his body is shutting down.  Maybe he will be able to recover.  I will be over at Sharon's tomorrow morning.  Karen

The Dr. told Gary that the cancer was 80% gone. But he will have to have test. My echogram will be done on Augest 4. Will know more on the 12th. How is Larry doing? I hope better. Will write soon.

I have to have a echogram done and some breathing test done. He may change my inhaler after the test are done. I will know what is going on biy the 12th a august. Hope everything is OK. Talk to you later.

Marsha, got the card today, will see that it gets to Larry.  Larry is still in hospital, he won't walk, says it hurts too much. Don't have any idea how much longer they will let him stay, Taking it a day at a time. 

Friday from Hutch

Update on Larry, he will be in the hospital until Monday or Tuesday.  Then to a rehab.  Having a ton of breathing problems and is on oxygen right now, don't know if they will move him to Mennonite Maner Rehab until he gets his breathing under control.  Looks like Marsha may be getting lots of wind and rain right now, Bonnie is going over Florida.  Sharon and I will go grocery shopping in a little while.  Karen

News from Karen

Good morning, hope you are all having a good day.  Sharon and I went to the genealogical program on Monday night, I think we both had a good time.  Sharon won the door prize, a small memento box, and she gave it to me, nice, Thank You Sharon.  Yesterday was real busy, Dudley's dad took a fall and broke 3 ribs and his collarbone, I spent 5 hours between the Clinic and hospital.  Hope you guys like the new blog look.
I will try to get Katelyns music back on, plus at the top you will see tabs for Home page, and Birthday page.

Sunday morning, Sharon and I had coffee.  Nancy could not make it, she had heart beat problems, had to take her meds to get it lowered, by the time she called it was coming down, but, she sounded pretty weak and out of breath, hope you get feeling better soon.  I am off for 6 days, like a semi vacation, don't go back until next weekend.  Sharon's been having a time with the heat, we all can't wait for early Fall.  Karen

and they had it fix my 9:30 this morning. But it gave me time to strip the room and clean it all.

TEST

Most of my test were fine. My white blood count was high. And they put my on a inhaler.
And go see a doctor about my lungs. Nothing was on the xrays but Dr. Jeryan said the
sound right. That is all from here.

Just got back from DR. office I have to have reg test done. And they tested my lung and

Karen's Birthday

Saturday was my birthday.  Sharon made me a neat card and printed message, Marsha sent me a lovely card and Nancy gave me a crochet top for my table that grandma Lane had made.  Thanks for makeing day special.

Marsha  arrived at about 3:00 today.  It's about time that us four sisters can sit back and relax and enjoy some time together.  I am really looking forward to the next two weeks.

Just wanted to check in. I am having a lot of trouble sleeping,I just feel num.

Katelyn

When Nancy and I was over at Sharon's today, Nancy showed us Katelyn's senior pictures. Then Nancy played for us a copy of Katelyn's songs. They were all great, but, we all just loved, Smile. It took me over 6 hours to figure out how to get the recording on the blog, finally did, then I thought maybe I should of asked Katelyn first, hope she doesn't mind.

They test came back and it if cancer. They are goi9ng to do a pet sacn to see if it is anywhere
else. The gold Coast Cancer place came over at Dr. Jeryan request, Right now we are just
waiting tell he caome home. If he needs skurgery and it has not moved any else. They will wait a couple of month and it. Gary is not going to tell Tammy anything yet.
The picture was taken I think at Apple Valley about 1951-1952.
