Thank You, so much Marsha, this arrangement brightened our day.

Since Thanksgiving, I have been feeling icky with a chest cold.  I didn't miss any work, but had a few not so great days.  A week after I got sick,  I gave the gift of sharing to Dudley.  We are now finally on the road to wellness.  Yesterday, we went to Shirley's mothers funeral.  It was a graveside service at Nort Inman cemtery.  Getting there was an adventure, because the new hiway is in between the old hiway and the cemetery.  It was chilly and breezy, but Elliott's had a good wind protection up.  It was a nice service, so very happy we went.  And, I don't think it hurt our recovery.  Anyway, coming home to the house and looking at the flowers on the table made me happy.  So, Thanks so much.  My energy is slowly coming back, thanks goodness I don't have to do much to get ready for Christmas.  That is my holiday to work.  So, we will be eating at noon at Sharon's, we have even invited my father-in-law over, for a simple, but delicious meal.  Hope you and Gary have a good day.  A long road is ahead of both of you, but, I have good hope for a great result.  As you say, take one day at a time.

The doctor today said he did not see much. But would keep and I on it. He is going to have the
open imaging read the pictures again. And compare them with the last PT scan. We are going toget copies of the last to scans. The pt and ct scans. If anything changes he will call Gary back in. That is all from Florida. Will write later.

Just wanted to say Hi. Hope everyone is OK. Gary is now signed up for Humana Gold Plus. I will
get to sign up in Jan. They will start the paper work in Nov. So I have to behave myself and not
fall or get sick. Gary is not feeling good today. And I am the one that did all the paper work and taking it the the doctors office. But that life. Talk to you soon.

Sharon and I have genealogy tonight,  Should be working on presenting program, but, wanted to show you my roses. 

Tuesday

It got over 100 yesterday.  In fact the high in Hutch was 102.  Ouch.  Way too early for this.  Sharon, Nancy and I went to Bunko last night.  It was a lot of fun, last one for Sharon and me until Fall.  And, then only if they need subs.  Nancy won a prize, Sharon and I did not.  Someone knocked over Sharon's mailbox last week.  Drin got a really nice wood post one up yesterday.  This time the person will have some dcar damage if they hit it.  Garden is growing.  Tomatoes are really taking off.  I work today, then will be off for 3 days until the weekend.  Glad you got some rain a few days ago..  We are in a short drought here also, the yards are already browning up.  Butch is watering ours twice in the mornings, still green.  Again, Way, Way to early for this heat.  Next project is to get Sharon a new air comdidtioner for her living room.  Well All for now. Karen

It raining now. We really need it. The pictures were great. How is everyone in Hutch?
Gary and I went to the fruit stand yesterday and got a lot of fresh veg and fruit.
I was up at 2:00 this morning and the temp was 73, now it is 69 which is nice. The lawn
is really enjoying the rain. Not doing much. Will write soon.

Last Thursay I started having some disturbing chest pains.  Not often but often enough.  I had a regular Dr. appointment this morning and told him about them.  He was concerned enough to have me do a cardio stress test.  Never did one before.  It was interesting.  Took about 1 hour.  Odd, I did have some pains when I was laying down and have the sonogram part, but, don't think I had any while walking, but, would not have known because toward the end I was breathing really really hard.  I went as long as they wanted, and the Cardiologist PA, fianlly said ease up, and they quit.  They were able to raised the ramp twice from the start, and was at a real good incline.  They all said that I must be in good shape, because they actually had a difficult time to get my heart beat to raise.  So, I think the test will come out OK.  If not, it will be a trip to the Cath Lab.  Sure glad Dudley was there with me, I got coughing so bad afterward I actually peed my pants on the way home, not too smooth.  Been 4 hours since I had it done and still a bit shaky in  the legs.  Will let you know, it will be a couple of days.  Other than that, nothing much else.  Decided not to buy an Ipad or Motorola Xoom, going to hold off and see what comes out later this year.  Karen

Just wanted to say Hi, I worked 6 days in a row last week.  Decided I was going to buy an Ipad 2, and just didn't feel like I should do spend that much for a toy, without bringing in some extra to pay for it.  So I will order it next week, and hopefully it will get here in a month or so.  Hope everyone is doing OK.  Its my day off, and I am going out to help Dudley with the garden fence, then I plan on coming in and frying fish and then watching American Idol.  Just kinda doing nothing.  Have a 6 month appointment with my doctor next week, wanted to have some weight off, oh well, that didn't happen.  Hope everyone is OK.  Karen

Good Afternoon

I have not heard any thing from the doctors. Maybe that is good news. Sunday I fell outside
on the cement. My right arm is very sore. And I cut my arm but I am just taking one day
at a time. I am resting I don't want to go to the doctor. It will take a little time. But that is life. As soon as I hear anything I will let you now. I may call the doctor tomorrow. Hope everyone
is OK. Will write soon.

Monday

Odd thing happen this morning.  Went to my yearly eye appointment.  Weird, my eyesight (as far as seeing far away) has improved to 20/20.  Normal eyesight.  Dr. Denison said it was because of my cataracts for both eyes.  Crazy isn't it.  My cataracts are not bad enough to do anything about them yet, but, they are now in a sweet point, as he said.  This will last about 6 to 24  months and then the cataracts will again start affecting my eyes in a bad way.  Guess I will have to go on the Internet and check it out.  He said that I could go to the DMV and have glasses removed from my license and a new picture without glasses, but, that seems like a lot of work for just two years.  Anyway, that's my news for today.  Oh, then I got home and hospital called me to do sitting, I got there, and then they did not need me.  So not only did I get 30 minutes in, I also was given two movie tickets free.  Hey not bad.  Weird day.  Sharon, Nancy and I will be playing Bunco tonight.  Karen

Good Morning Friday

I hope everyone is Ok. Most of the kitchen is done. We have to stop for a couple of weels.
I have to rest and no stress. I went to the doctors on Wednesday and they gave me an
EKG at 9:30 and by 11:00 I was sent down for a Stress test. Now just waiting on the
results. I did no they did that fast. I didn't even get to come home. Will let you know when
the test comes back. Bye for now

Just wanted to say Hi. We are working on our Kitchen. I will be happy when it is done.
It is taking a little longer then planned. But we changed our mind and replaced the sink
and faucet. The sink is on backorder. I hope I make it though. I am not sleeping and not

Just wanted to say Hi. Hope the snow clears up soon. Talk to Sharon the other day and thank her for the e-mail she sent. Went to Dr. Giaimo yesterday and he changed my inhaler to
Symbicot. He gave a 2 week supply. In 3 months I have to have a breathing test. That is
about all for now. The weather here is 75 today, Yesterday it was in the 80,s and raining.

Day after digging out.

Had over 11 inches of snow.  We got dug out yesterday.  Sharon is still completely shut in, except she can get out back door, just a bit.  She is doing OK.  Darin is off today, maybe he can make her a path.  Last night it was -9 (without wind chill), but will be in 50's by weekend for a few days.  We still have a 4' pile in front of garage, but, can't get it moved and it will melt in a few weeks.  Can't wait till Spring. Sharon, Nancy and I played Bunko the night before snow storm, wished I had taken camera as they both won very cute prizes.

Just wanted to say good morning. Gary went to the Doctor on Monday. And the doctor was
happy with the test. And his blood work was great. So no doctors for him until april.
I hope it warm up in Hutch soon. Hope everyone is OK. Will write soon.

Hi from sunny 48 degree Hutch

I was just about ready to write on the blog, when I got on and saw Marsha's  entry.  Nancy got the OK from Dr. Holcomb yesterday, and she will have the procedure tomorrow.  If everything goes OK, she will be released the next day.  Sharon went to the Doctor last week.  He is finally addressing her problem with water retention in the legs.  Already Sharon and I have noticed a difference.  She went back yesterday to see him, and he was very pleased.  She will stay on this strong water pill for some time, however, she does have to watch her potassium.  Dudley went today, and got a good report from Dr. Sourk, however, that is not our concern, but seeing the kidney in a month or so, is more important. 
It is really nice weather out now.  Sunny and comfortable, if you not in the shade.
Larry, has the flu.  Took him some meds today, but, just to the door, I did not want to go in.
Nothing much else.

When does Sharon go to the doctors? And how is Nancy doing? We are fine.
Gary will be going to the Doctor on Monday 31. Just to get the results of his
blood test and see Dr. Jeryan. Not much going on here. One day it is warm and the
next day cool. I wish it would make up its mind. Bye for now.

Just wanted to let you know one doctor said that everything is all right and the other not as sure
about. They want to see the new scan that was done on 1/5/11. I am not skure what is going on.
And my printer is messing up. I am ready to go to baed and stay until everything clears up.

Nancy had surgery

Marsha, Will call you in the morning over at Sharon's.  Nancy had emergency surgery for appendicits last eveving about 7:30pm.  I did not know anything about it until I walked in at 7:00 pm to go to work and saw Elmo.  Then she got up to 5200 only to have  go back dowm to surgery, because they did not take out her partial plate and she ended up swallowing it.  I am home now, and Jim is suppose to call me, when she gets out of surgery.  Will fill you in tomorrow morning.  Karen

Gary went for his CT scan this morning. Won't know anything until the 13th of January.
We are OK. Hope everyone In Hutch is OK. Went to get Gary medicine yesterday and some
groceries. Also went to bank a got my check for Jury duty. Bye for now
